This session will commence discussion concerning Primary education—the foremost and basic right of every child—to high light technological advancements which open avenues of opportunities and development. Access to primary education is a prerequisite for development of the underprivileged, a crucial first step to reducing inter-generational poverty.
A burgeoning number of schools, NGOs and government schemes are imparting basic primary education. However, for holistic development of children it is crucial that our education model not only contributes towards developing the ability to read and write but actually leads to overall social, cognitive, cultural, emotional and physical development of students. The key objective of the primary education is not only to teach children to think analytically but to also prepare them to face the future challenges. The aim of this session is to consider how emerging technologies and modern approaches, in primary education, such as smart classrooms, coding at school, happy curriculum and modern infrastructure can revolutionise the education scenario in India.
